Well, I think that the PS3 isn't pretty bad, actually. I would take the 360 and Wii (both of which I like) over the PS3 anyday.

Plently of reason, but I'm only suppose to give my two cents, so I did. XD

I'm not saying that the PS3 is bad. I'm just saying that the 360 is better. XD
I don't think the Wii's worth the box it comes in. >>

The Wii is awesome, you just don't know what you're missing. It's not better than either the 360 or the PS3 in techical terms, but it's just plain different. It changed and still changes the way we play games.

Yeah, it changed it BADLY. As in making games that would otherwise be worthwhile be shit because of poorly implemented gimmicks, and removing almost all of Nintendo's "Good games like Mario and Zelda" budget and throwing it into the "Wii Fit/Sports/Music/Gaysex" budget.

ALSO: You won't think the PS3 is bad if you play any of the games I own for it. :3

The Wii is more of a family system really >.> there are no good hardcore games on it. Though, I did enjoy playing Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on it, I haven't found another good game since. The controls are quite shotty, never doing what you want them to. I can find limited fun with some of the Wii games such as Wii Fit, but it get's real old, real fast. Besides, you can't even really call Wii Fit a game, from what I saw of it at my cousin's house.

You guys forget about Super-Smash Bros. Brawl, and the new Mario game (forgot the name). Plus, the Wii can play Gamecube game. Yet more, one can also buy and play all the old nintendo games for the Wii. It does have Guitar Hero 3 as well... but that's not that big of a deal since all the other consoles do too. Oh yeah, the Wii also has Metriod Prime 3 and Animal Crossing: City Folk which I have seen played before. Both of these games use the Wii controller system quite nicely while having awesome gameplay.

Brawl= Melee but not as good
Mario Galaxy= Gimmicked version of Mario 64 that isn't as good
Guitar Hero= Not exclusive
New Animal Crossing= First Animal Crossing with an auction house
Metroid Prime 3= First two Metroid Prime games except with annoying motion control gimmick minigames to open doors.

I have a GAMECUBE for Gamecube games, and it plays just as well if not better than the Wii anyways. And you can't buy anywhere NEAR the entire history of Nintendo games on the Wii. Nowhere CLOSE.

Brawl = Original smash bros. which is better than Melee
New Animal Crossing = new ability to connect with other players across Wiis (basically a better version of the DS's ability to connect). Uses the Wiimote in a discently interactive way, and just the fact that it's an Animal Crossing game makes the game awesome.
Metroid Prime 3 = Nothing like the first two. Have you even played it? I have. It is just plain awesome, period. The whole system is completely different from any of the other Metroid games including Prime 1 and 2.

Hm... I thought it could play all of them. Oh well... but still it can at least play some of them.

P.S. some much for my two cents. It's more like 20 now. XD

Brawl= Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha no. There's no way you've PLAYED the game and think it's more like the original than Melee. And hey, I've only spent about five million hours on both of them, unlocking all the characters and beating everything. Brawl is the only game on the Wii that isn't almost ruined by shitty motion controls, and even then it's not as well balanced as Melee. Also, fuck Smash Balls.

Metroid Prime 3= I own all three, and have beaten the first two into the dirt and beaten about three fourths of the third before getting disgusted and quitting. The only difference on 3 is that you can point to aim and that sometimes people talk. Since they're generally saying something that barely makes sense because the story is crap, I really tend to ignore the talking and treat them like the bosses in the previous two games.

New Animal Crossing=Adding in a few Wiimote gimmicks doesn't really change a game in any worthwhile way. You what, swing the remote to catch bugs? Come on. Not to mention that they took out all of the classic Nintendo games that you could find because they want you to buy them from the VC, money grubbing bastards. And while I admit that the first Animal Crossing was fun, they haven't added any worthwhile new content since the original. You've always been able to visit a friend's town (On the original you had to plug both of your memory cards into one Gamecube: I did so with a friend of mine to get some fruit trees). They made it easier and online, but really, what's the point? It's still for the most part a fruitless endeavor. It's not like you can go to their town and do anything with them, you just wander around aimlessly as if you were in your own town. Animal Crossing is not a game designed for multiplayer. What are you going to do, compete to dig holes or buy furniture for cats? So again, they haven't ADDED much. They made it a bit easier to connect, though connecting is worthless, and they threw in a few motion control gimmicks, and added some weird ass auction house thingy and a few shops. But in the end, the loss of the 20-something old Nintendo games far outweighs that.

I own Brawl, buddy. Yes, the smash balls are trash, and the characters aren't balenced; but, it falls back to the original, slower game play of the original.

OK, I don't own Prime 3, but my friend beat it, and liked it. You are the first person I have ever known not to like Prime 3, actually.

For my last statement, fine, you win. PS3 is better than Wii. What now? What do you get? Nothing really, I still like the Wii better than the PS3. You haven't changed anything... not like it matters though.

I do know what I'm missing. Don't think that I'm stupid enough to make baseless prejudicial criticism. Then I'd be a journalist or something. As regards Super Smash, I hate the series with a passion. Even if I didn't, your system can't ride on the back of a single killer app. Come to think of it, I hate most of what the Wii has to offer. I hate Mario, I hate what they've done to Metroid, I HATE ZELDA...

...just about the only thing I like on the Wii is the stuff that you get with it; Play and Sports, and that doesn't justify buying the thing.

Oh, it does matter. In the grand scheme of the universe, it matters. You'll see. You won't know it till the end. Then you'll see.

With Smash Bros. I still own and have played all three games. For months on end. Spending hours and hours and hours of my life on them, unlocking everything, beating everything on every mode. I would say "Opinion whatevah" on this, but with the sheer amount I've played these games I pride myself on being a bit of an expert.

With Prime 3. It's an ok game. I can see why people would like it. But I liked the other two so much more, and hated what had happened since it had been moved to the Wii so much, that I got annoyed and quit. At first I have to admit that I loved it, but over time the annoyances built until I just couldn't take it any more.

And if you were going to pull the "Why does it matter" card, why'd you post in this thread in the first place? This is a console thread in a debate forum, what the hell do you expect?

I expected to say that I like the Wii and to see if I could win an arguemnt. I obviously can't because well... I can't. I'm not good at debates, and, well, this was good practice. <_<

However, I own the whole smash series as well (wasting at least 400 hours on them), so don't think I don't know what I'm talking about. So, this is a matter of opinion unlike what you think.

Beats the Wii anyways.

I liked it more than the PS2 up until about the end of last gen, and still consider them roughly equal.

God I wish I'd gotten the GC version of Twilight Princess though, the Wiimote waggle bullshit almost ruined what was otherwise a paralyzingly amazing game.
