I have personally been writing while listening to the band Antarhes, how 'bout you guys?

Nine Inch Nails is the flavour of the hour. I also tend toward Slipknot, Mastodon and various other metal groups. There's more than enough slow and emotional stuff to balance out the fast and heavy in there.

Game music, sad/nostalgic music, or rock-on-type music (if you can consider metal, rock, pop, and certain anime music as rock-on-type music)

I listen to whatever the heck I feel like.
Also whatever crops up on my Pandora Radio. (Check it out, by the way. Best radio evah.)

Oddly enough, I do the same. I don't really listen to music for the sake of music. I much prefer to make my own...
At the moment, I'm involved in two choirs, a musical theatre production, and my school band, in addition to being in the process of randomly memorizing four different songs, three of which are in languages I don't even speak.

I, on the other hand, can't concentrate without noise. As such, <3 mah music

Whatever I've recently downloaded. The list is too long to put down effectively, but it includes alice in chains, ACDC, Green Day, Linkin Park, Maximum the Horomone (Death note fans should recongnise that) and Pearl Jam.

Dragon, I share the same problem. Without music, I'm brain dead... and, unfortunetely, after listening to music long enough, I end up brain dead anyways. =D

I never had a brain to worry about in the first place! =D

Meh, Linkin Park is good, and it's great RP music, but it can cause me to go into a dark mood if I listen to certain songs.

Usually nothing. On occasion, I put on orchestral (but not really) stuff to drown out the noise; this is more or less my favorite song ever. I have no idea what the movie accompanying it is supposed to be.

i don't really listen to music whilst writing a rp post (it's distracting!) but i do love to play music doing... everything else.

i can't really sum up the music i listen to, since it's different. i don't listen to one specific band either, really. B)

I listen to music doing... anything. and everything. For rp, I listen to anything, but my favorite music includes Simple Plan, Skillet, Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana (I'm 11!!!!!!), Paramore, Shania Twain, My Chemical Romance, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez.
