*Note to self... after finishing typing a long post, barely awake and at 2 AM... never, ever, ever click on a shiny new thread of Shplane's in the Spambucket.*
"Evil little things they are, with their carnivorous habit. One wonders what crime the past lives of Drosera can have held, that now their race should be compelled to draw so ominous and unpleasant a career of murder and fraud. When will Sundews be free of the burden, through some self-sacrificing individual plant who shall starve to death rather than take life, and so redeem his race into happier paths of peace and virtue?"

Unholy son of lich!

That's just creepy.
It's been about 15 years since Jurassic Park and I'm still readying my house for a raptor invasion.

Dragon, there are enough WoW players infesting the interwebz that I'd guess at least 90% of the English-speaking gaming population knows what a lich is, even if they detest WoW.

@Shplane: As usual, you fail. In this occasion, however, you do it hilariously.

Yes... I know what a lich is. My brother knows what a lich is. My dad probably knows what a lich is. Half of my friends probably know what a lich is. Though, I knew about liches long before I started playing WoW (though I don't anymore). Gotta love Tales of Phantasia. =D

And yes. Hilariously failing is always good. XD

Yes well, I doubt most of my school knows what an orc is, much less a lich or the like. :<

I'd wager that there are plenty more D&D players (myself included) on the intertrons than WoW players.

Aww, is someone still pissy about the religion business? It's ok, mommy will change your diaper and give you a new bottle soon.

I highly doubt it. D&D is far less popular than WoW (Better, but less popular), and since WoW REQUIRES interbutts to play and D&D doesn't, it just doesn't at all seem likely at all that WoW players would be under-represented online.

You probably just see more D&D players because you frequent the (comparatively) intelligent parts of the tubes.

Hmm? Did that seem 'pissy' to you? That's just too bad, since the reality is that I respond to all forms of your asshattery with uniform disapproval. Ah well, there's only one thing that remains to be said:

Agreed, sadly. Having only ever played D&D once in my life, I can't really discuss the game itself, but it's true that there aren't nearly as many 'D&D Player Communities' as there are WoW-related boards and groups. The same goes for any MMO game; Since their medium is the intarwebz, they also make use of it for networking/advertising to a greater extent than nearly any other game.
